Primary President...AHHHH!!!!

For my few friends, and possible some strangers, may have wondered what has happened to me. So many of you know the life changing event that has occurred in my life. Only those just out of ear shot are probably the only one who haven't heard the news. Recently I have been called as our primary president. Yikes!! "Are you sure?" I asked. The answer was "yes." What can I say, I'm still not convinced. So far this has been a very humbling, insanely busy, humbling, faith provoking calling.

I feel fortunate to work with an amazing and very supportive bishopric. I also get to work with incredible counselors. I have the most positive and uplifting husband (and live in babysitter.) And I have been blessed the most awesome friends that a person could dream of! It is almost overwhelming when I realize how much others love me and are willing to do anything for me. How grateful I am for all of the babysitters, errand runners, paper cutters, cheerleaders, up-lifters, listeners, phone callers, treat bringers, dinner makers that a person could dream of being surrounded by. Thank you so much to all of my friends and family. I love you all!

My first few weeks and been insanely busy and I have definitely faced my challenges. I just can't help wondering (hoping?) that I could have learned enough these first few weeks to be able to have this experience cut short. That's fair right? I know I have so much to learn and I know that Heavenly Father will help me. I have to confess that I have been mourning my old selfish life a little. (Sniff, sniff). I also have been able to recognize so many tender mercies that I have received. I am grateful for all of these blessings and I know that I will be a better person because of this experience.

You ARE doing a great job. I'm so glad I got to work with you a little in scouts before this.
Your enthusiasm is contagious and the kids can feel your love for them, I'm sure that will make your job a lot easier.
Thanks for extending your hand of friendship to a new-bee.

Jodi,
I love how you take charge in senior primary. Some of those boys need a glare or two sometimes. I think you are doing great and I love that I get to see your bright shining face every Sunday! Let me know if I can help you out in any way!
